The XT-17 whines as its supercapacitors hit maximum, and K fires a volley. Three spheres of plasma blast into the sky, and as they shriek toward the Mi-Go, their intense heat sets the green smoke on fire.

By the time the plasma spheres slam into three more of the Yuggothian horrors, the air around them is ablaze. The fire doesn't do much damage, but the clouds of smoke grow dark and thick, a vision of Hell erupting high above the frozen waste.
