This is probably going to be my last night home for a while. I've pretty much exhausted all the really good options for an eating tour of Manhattan with Romana- I mean, yeah, there's the fancy places and things like that but honestly, fancy is pretty much the same no matter where on Earth you go. It's the little holes in the wall that have the best stuff, in my estimation, and I'v ealready taken her to the really good ones around here- Wo Lop's, the Singapore Cafe, Stella's Brick Oven Pizzeria, the Shanghai Ice Cream Factory, places like that. We've also been to the Brooklyn Aquarium, which is great because she knows Earth animal spretty well but hadn't had the chance to see some of the things like the beluga whales or the seals up close- and the penguins loved her. Honestly, they were competing to see who could get her to go 'ooh!' the loudest, I'm sure of it. Those birds are a lot more clever than the zoologists give them credit for.

Anyway, we're going to head out tomorrow to the best of my knowledge and go see the rest of the galaxy, or at least the bits Romana thinks are interesting. Which is fine with me. Gallifrey might've been kind of cool to visit but from the way she describes it, it's more Egon's bag than mine. She doesn't seem all that fond of the place, so I'm not gonna put up a fuss. It's not like I took her to City Hall here or anything. I'll be stocking up on as many engineering journals and technical magazines as I can find here to bring back to Warren, since I already went to Jim Hanley's (it was an easy trip to arrange, since I was showing Romana my favorite Korean place near there) and got him all the Alan Moore I could carry, along with a bunch of back issues of something the guy at the counter recommended- Transmetropolitan, by Warren Ellis. Never heard of it myself, but he says if you're into that kind of thing it's going to go over well. Hope Warren likes it. There's a lot of back issues.

Gotta go. Egon's been making some modifications to the packs based on Anakin's work, and he's upgraded all the meters to match the capabilities of the one I brought back from the animated continuum. I gotta go help him test the stuff out before anybody else tries anything.
