I'm strongly tempted to offer a hypothetical Fraser from the "Sailor Moon Expanded" shared universe, which incorporates the Mythos, but local conditions might not make it workable... the 1908 Tunguska impact was Ithaqua being banned from Earth for all time by a coalition of mages, most of whom didn't survive the blast, and by 2007 Earth is in the middle of a world war against the Acolytes of Silence, Mythos-affiliated aliens who insist on enforcing universal peace and contemplation by freezing whole worlds and species into awake-and-aware suspended animation... a war that is lost by 2010.
