(no subject)

Had a nice long chat with Kitt, an AI whose base form is a heavily modified 1982 Pontiac Firebird but who has the ability to shapeshift into human through magic. Seems like a nice guy, very intelligent (of course- who would build a stupid AI if they had another choice?), and interested in improving himself. Kitt's got this molecular bonded shell action going on that means that I could drop the proton pack on his hood from a meter up and not make even so much as a scratch. He's interested in some of the tech I have- sensor tech mostly if I'm reading his vibe right- and offered a deal: once he talks with his original programmer, who's apparently in the bar, if I can make these upgrades for him he'll gimme the formula for the stuff so I can do the last body-panel upgrade Ecto will ever need. I just have to get Ecto here. Which might be easier than you'd think given that last night's arrival was totally spontaneous and therefore utterly freaky. I made sure to walk out of the bar and then concentrate on coming back in just on the chance it was gonna try and make me Bound, but no Binding- went out, finished conversation, grabbed pajamas, came back in, all's well.

I kind of like the idea of the old girl not having to worry about anything hurting her outsides any more. That car's no AI, but she's practically family.
