Ray was really, really, really starting to loathe the sight of Sumerian- sorry, Sumero-Akkadian- spirit containment gridding on the walls. Cuneiform got old fast if you had to stare at it for eight hours a day, every day.
He blinked a few times and wondered whether the fact that the patterns were swimming a bit was necessarily a bad thing.
Then he caught sight of Danny's grinning face and realized the answer was yes.

Jazz was fixing the markings.
Sam had been passed the Thermos by Tucker and she was just holding it as everyone bustled around, a sour look on her face.

Date: 2006-01-31 07:19 am (UTC)As far as Ray was concerned, fourteen years old was college age, and that meant 'adult interaction' for social purposes. Granted, Ray was not the most socially adept man in the universe, but eh.

"We'll need to release him in there before putting up the other shields. Are they ready?" Tucker asked.

"... I truly am."

Finally, it stopped.

Date: 2006-02-03 05:55 am (UTC)Off Tucker's comment, he frowned some, "Maybe he had a growth spurt or something?" Danny was still a growing ghost-kid. Which meant his powers were getting STRONGER. Shit... this was not gonna be easy.

Date: 2006-02-03 06:23 am (UTC)A moment later the robotic Hound Ray had acquired from John Preston trotted in. He'd been rooting around in its innards during his off hours, and had installed a set of ectoscopes among its visual sensors.
"Francis is going to stay here and keep an eye on Danny," Ray said. "Meanwhile, we are going to talk. To the Geekcave, ladies and gentlemen."
As soon as he was sure they weren't going to throw things at him for being more of a dork than necessary, he led the way down the hall to his own room.
