The door opens, as has happened so many times before, onto a grey-walled alley. Ray pokes his head out and looks around. "Okay," he says. "We should be all right- come on out, guys."
Yuna is picky, a little bit; she mainly picked this one because she realizes that they're almost back to the start and she's passed by every store they've seen, wondering if the next one might be better.
As they push inside and into the warm air, though, she feels pretty satisfied with her choice, however arbitrary. "It's so big," she murmurs.
It looks like they sell everything; she gravitates towards the clothes anyway.
He laughs, a little, and just says, "Okay," and leans against the wall.
He kind of wishes he could have brought a blitzball with him. Or his sword, even--he does better with something to play with, one way or another--but lacking either he settles for tapping his foot and waiting mostly patiently.
It doesn't take very long to change these clothes, compared to the complexities of her usual costume; she reappears only few moments later in the blue tunic.
Spiran fashion being what it is, it doesn't occur to her that it's a shirt, not a dress. At least it's a size bigger; her hands nearly disappear into the sleeves, and the hem falls close to her knees. Her smile is tentative. "What do you think?"
Yuna beams, crossing her arms; the sleeves cut a fluttering trail when she moves her hands. "I like it, too," she says, with more than a little regret. "It's a little baggy."
Yuna preens; mostly inwardly, although she tucks her braids back and looks off to one side.
"Well, I can't really take anything like this back, anyway," she says, her voice tinged with regret. "But I like trying it." She regards herself in a mirror a bit, then sighs. "Should I try the other one now?"
She returns in a few moment, fidgeting with the short cap-sleeves. "I wish there were sleeves to match this one," she says, rubbing her forearm. "But it looks like they don't have any." She cranes her neck, looking around the store. "Maybe they're in a different section. I like the print though."
While Tidus thinks Yuna's quite pretty in this dress, he has slightly more jaw control, for which many feminists and his own dignity--or what remains of it--are grateful.
And a million feminists fall upon his mun and scream, "TRAITOR" for this thread.
"It's okay! Really! But, uh. We have maybe forty minutes before we should head back. If you want to do this, that's okay. But if you want to do something else, we should head there."
The narration can say what it likes, she totally is.
Sadly, Macy's seems to be lacking in this area.
Tidus--just as cheerfully, mind, and only so they don't get seperated--reaches for the hand on his shoulder, after figuring out where they are--YOU ARE HERE is helpful--and tugs her in the appropriate direction.

He's not sure how they're going to get some of these clothes back, if that's what she wants, but he's CONVINCED he'll figure it out if needed.

And not stare at her legs. You're probably offending Yevon, he suspects, by staring at the future High Summoner's legs. That's bad. And stuff. Right.
Bad.
"...You should get that one."

"Uh. Unless you think it is. Which you do. But it's still nice on you."
Tidus mentally congratulates himself on only sounding--he hopes--like half an idiot.

"Sure!"
Suddenly Yuna trying clothes on seems much more fun.

It could be fun!

As it is, he looks vaguely shocked.
He's aware Ray had never heard of the game, mind, but still!
...But there are other balls that catch his attention fairly quickly.
"--Yuna! Feel this!"
And lo, he did discover a basketball.
