The door opens onto an expanse of asphalt, steel, and glass. Nearby a sign reads:
WELCOME TO WHITE FLINT MALL
BEST PRICES IN THE DC AREA
4708 BETHESDA AVENUE
CHEVY CHASE, MD
It's a big parking lot, with the mall itself only visible off in the distance. Ray gives it the squint-eye before turning to the others. "Okay, people," he says. "This is it. Johnny says it's underground. Egon's best estimates indicate three miles down. Are we good?"

The kitsune held up one hand as they neared a certain room. The door read Security Briefing and there was sounds of people hurredly strapping on weaponry inside.
"Hey, Danny," FX whispered. "Wanna be a movie legend?"

From:Assault Force K-Tilda
Date: 2006-06-20 07:13 pm (UTC)K is watching his scanner as its holographic display rolls out a map of the complex. He's been in enough places like this to have a good idea where the data storage facilities and executive offices might be located. And now that he's hearing the others starting to break into groups, he glances at Matilda and asks:
"How about it, Matilda? In the mood for some basic search-and-destroy?"
Re: Assault Force K-Tilda
Date: 2006-06-20 07:41 pm (UTC)"Sure, why not?" she replies, grinning adorably and bouncing a bit with childish excitement, one arm around the bag of explosives in a protective manner.

Date: 2006-06-21 01:50 am (UTC)"But?" echoes the local Peter. "Ray, 'but' is not a word that inspires a lot of confidence in me. What 'but'?"
"But, uh, I don't actually have any of the specifics."
"You're the only one who's been here before, Ray-"
"Um, excuse me," says a slightly reedy-sounding voice from a little ways up ahead. "I haven't gone and gotten stuck back on Level D, have I?"
The speaker is a man somewhat older than Ray, with greying hair, angular brows, and a certain cast to his features that indicates that he could probably do with a bit more exercise than they gave him here. He's peering out of what's ostensibly part of the ventilation system.
"Hey, you're not with the creep-bags who stuck me in here," he says, peering at the motley crew in the hallway. "Did you hit an equipment locker or something? That looks like confiscated gear."

Date: 2006-06-21 02:02 am (UTC)The raptor trots forward, peering back at the man and shoving her snout forward to sniff noisily, tilting her head from side to side as she eyeballs him. He doesn't look like something worth attacking, at least not yet.

"I want to take out everything but lighting and vital computer systems - life support, environmental controls in most areas, and the storage mainframes. We'll need what data we can glean before anyone can cue a system purge. Come on."
He led the way down a hallway. The direction was mostly correct - his memory served well - but with all of the interference from said electrical, he couldn't be precisely sure.

Date: 2006-06-21 05:13 pm (UTC)Supposed to be was the operative word here. The cameras were doing their duty, but this was a big complex. There were far too many screens in the main security area to notice a few more people simply moving through just yet. It would take something outstanding to make anyone watching realize that these three people were anything other than local employees.
